The title comes from two different yet powerful ideas. The first centers on the idea of thinking before speaking, or the process that happens before the words (should) come out. The second idea is lifted from Dave Matthews who, speaking about his song Eh Hee, "recalls hearing the music of the Khoisan and, upon asking his guide what the words to their songs were, being told that "there are no words to these songs, because these songs, we've been singing since before people had words"." (from Wikipedia)

So, the short version goes like this: This blog is about ideas that are not yet fully formed and features music that probably influenced my thinking (or lack thereof).
